A Skunk and a Former Investigator

Hi everyone!            4/24/17

I feel like this has been the first slow week on my mission! But It's been so beautiful to watch spring bloom. It's stunning with the blossoms and the vibrant green, and the long meadow grasses in undeveloped land. I came out here in Illinois when winter was beginning and everything was dead.  It's amazing to watch things come alive that used to just be inanimate objects to me. Mallard ducks are everywhere here and the geese are slowly disappearing.Earlier these week me and Sister Vescovi visited Kylie and John. Kylie ran up to her screen door (closed) and kept rapping on the door yelling "Skunk! skunk!" We laughed as it did an awkward hobble-run away from us.

Kay,  my first investigator I ever worked with called us out of the blue and we have an appointment with him this week! When he called though we really reiterated our purpose as missionaries because in the past he didn't progress. Sister Vescovi was very straightforword and Kay shared something I never heard before about how he really is looking for the true church! We're excited to meet with him again.

Hardik has been struggling still to come to church,  but he gave the sweetest testimony in has talk yesterday. It made me ridiculously happy.  Irving, another recent convert had started passing out the Sacrament! Me and Sister Vescovi are so grateful for now much he's grown.

In just two days will my six month mark which is just crazy.  I think this will be the first and last time acknowledging how long I've been out! It's been a blessing to be out here and to share the gospel. I've been in the Schaumburg YSA Branch during the entirety of my mission. Transfers are coming up on May 2, and I'm nervous for the possibility to be transferred but at the same time excited!

I love you all and remember to show your love to your Mother's this upcoming Mothers Day!

Here's a picture of me with angry swans, a dragonfly,  and when we "egged" the Elder's car.
