Comic con and Facemasks

Hi everyone!      3/27/17

We invited John to be  baptized earlier this week and he said yes! He still has a lot of growing to do- it was more of asking him to have faith and to work towards baptism, but we're still excited. We also had a lesson with just him for the first time at a park because Kylie was at work. It was really eye opening and we learned so much more about him and his concerns although he still has been pretty with Kylie around. We're sad to now see him and Kylie go to the family ward so we will no longer be teaching them and Elder Fia and Fry will. They're amazing though, and we'll still see them around!

Last week we had the greatest exchanges with Hermana Craner and Hermana Gowens.  It was so much fun to work with then and they are amazing! I'll have to write more about it later!

Anyways, not too has much has happened this week because our teaching pool has recently been emptied. Kylie and John are moving into the family ward and we've been working with them the most other than with Hardik.

One day we had a appointment at the library that fell through bit we felt like we hit the gold mine! There was a COMIC CON going on there that we had no idea about.  We went back to our car and loaded  up will pamphlets and pass-along cards. We aren't allowed to proselyte at library's,  but if we get in a good conversation with shoshone and they ask than were allowed. Sister Vescovi knew full well that I'm a nerd and knew it was my time to shine. We didn't get any phone numbers but had some great conversations with booth vendors and gave cards to six of them. It was a blast! Sometimes I seriously believe I was made for this area.

It's been a tad discouraging trying to find, but we've already had a tender mercy in recieving two referrals. One was a media one sent from church had quarters,  and the other was from a stranger.  A man came in at the end of Sacrament Meeting who apparently used to come to the YSA branch and wanted to visit. He told us about his friend, Edwin, who's looking for a church and was interested in meeting us! It was such a blessing! He gave us his info and and we called his friend, and we set up an appointment for this Tuesday!

We have some fun ideas for finding we're excited to try out including easter eggs (I'll explain in the future) and setting up a booth on a college campus. We had a good contact with a man named Ravi.  We meet coming home and he was moving out that night. He said how he always wanted to come to a Christian church but didn't know if he would be welcomed.  We invited him to go and gave him a pass-along card and said that missionaries could help him move in wherever he's going.

Here's some long awaited baptism photos and photos!
